The GTAx 550 provides a versatile, standout performance that meets the needs of both beginner and veteran hobbyists. Beginners love the convenience and high performance of the GTAx 550's factory preset “coin” mode while veterans swear by the detector's strong discrimination and deep seeking capabilities.

The GTAx 550 uses an LCD display panel to deliver a wealth of information about the detector as well as the target detected. The target ID and depth measuring portion of the display is divided into 24 segments that allow for very accurate identification and depth read-outs in .5" increments. The display also reports battery condition, mode of operation, and discrimination settings.
